The large grill on the Blueair Medical Pro air purifier is included so that the unit will clean air easily. Other purifiers in its class do not have airflow inlets and outlets as large. There is virtually no noticeable draft and an exceptional air exchange rate. Also included are built-in carrying handles, a 4-speed control knob, an easy-to-change filter, steel housing, ion brushes, easy-to-vacuum chamber and a safety switch that automatically turns the power off when the door opens.
The filtration method used by the Blueair Medical Pro air purifier is HEPASilent Technology. It has an electrostatic ionizer that includes 4 ion brushes that charge the air to make particles cling to the filter media. There is also a highly effective multigas filter. The HEPA filter removes dust, pollen, bacteria, pet dander, mold spores and other airborne particles. The VOC filter contains active carbon to eliminate cigarette and cigar smoke and other volatile organic compounds. These filters only take 30 seconds to replace and should be replaces every six months.
