Without a fan or filter the XJ2000 purifies polluted indoor air by using next generation technology and generating large quantities of negative ions using its solid state electronic circuitry. These health beneficial negative ions magnetically attract to floating particles, causing them to become too heavy to remain airborne. As a result, they settle out of the air, so they can no longer be inhaled. The negative ions also cause particles to attract to the conductive collector plate located inside the unit.
